What is Somatic Pilates, and how is it different from yoga or other fitness classes?

Somatic Pilates focuses on mindful body awareness through sensing and feeling as you
build core strength, stability, alignment, and controlled movement—using diaphragmatic breathing.

Do I need previous Pilates experience to join a class?

No experience is needed! There are beginner-friendly sessions and private instruction to help you start safely.
Take the complimentary Intro Session to start your adventure.

What should I wear to class?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows movement. Grip socks are recommended for safety and hygiene.


Do I need to bring anything to class?

Just yourself —mats and equipment are provided.

How long are the sessions?

Most classes are 30, 60 or 75 minutes unless otherwise noted.

How do I book a class?

You can book online through our website. It is recommended to
book at least a few days in advance to secure your spot.

What is your cancellation policy?

Kindly give at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid a late cancel or no-show fee.

Do you offer private sessions?

Yes! One-on-one sessions tailored to your goals, schedule, and any special considerations.

What if I have an injury or health condition?

Please let Megan at Moving Well know during your intake—exercises can be modified a
nd private sessions are available if needed.

Pricing & Packages

Do you offer class packages or memberships?

Yes—single class are currently offered but in the near future,
it will expand to include multi-class packages.

Do packages expire?

Yes, all class packages have an expiration date—typically 60-90 days depending on the package.

Can I share my package with someone else?

Packages are non-transferable and intended for individual use unless otherwise specified.

Getting Started

How should I prepare for my first class?

Arrive 10 minutes early, bring your intake form (if not submitted online), and let your instructor know if you’re new.


Which class is best for beginners?

Start with the “Intro” and then doing a private session to get familiar with the equipment and method.

How often should I do Pilates to see results?

Consistently training 2–3 times per week will lead to noticeable improvements in strength, flexibility, and posture.
